Day 1-2: Entebbe

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Note: We have a dedicated flight partner who can help find and book the best international flights for you.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, settling in after your flight.

Overnight: Karibu Entebbe (1 night)

Day 2-4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Entebbe Airport to check in for your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip, the gateway to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On arrival you will be transferred to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. 

Overnight: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (2 nights)

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is your first gorilla trek. Your morning starts with breakfast and a short briefing at the park HQ. You'll then set off deep into the forest searching for your allocated gorilla family. Spend 1 magical hour with them, before heading back to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. 

Day 4-6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast you will embark on the Ivy River Trail from Nkuringo to Buhoma. The Ivy River trail is the oldest route through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and an important footpath for locals traveling from Nteko to Buhoma, particularly on market days.

The trail puts you in the centre of beautiful rural landscapes with several viewpoints overlooking lush mist-shrouded valleys before snaking into the jungle over the Ivy River, where monkeys, duikers, bush pigs, and some of Bwindi's world-renowned bird and butterfly species can be sighted. There is an optional detour to view waterfalls, this is a very scenic spot and will add on approximately 30 minutes.

Please note that porters will carry your luggage through the forest so please bring waterproof holdalls/backpacks, rather than traditional suitcases.

You will arrive at your lodge with time to relax and refresh before dinner. 

Overnight: Buhoma Lodge (2 nights)

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Second gorilla trek! Today you are allocated a different gorilla family to visit, and set off into the forest for another magnificent wildlife experience. You'll spend 1 hour with the gorillas, watching their behaviours and social interactions before returning to your lodge for the afternoon. 

Day 6-7: Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip and board the return light aircraft flight back to Entebbe Airport. On arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation where you will have a day at leisure or should you wish to add in additional activities you will have time to do so. 

Overnight: Karibu Entebbe (1 night)

Day 7: Return Home

Today you will be transferred to Entebbe airport in time for your onward flight arrangements. This is where our services end and we hope you will leave Uganda with some incredible memories and photos of your time here!
